Hajj' security forces have started the implementation of the traffic plan for the year 1432 AH (2011 AD) to facilitate the movement of pilgrims in Makkah and the holy sites.
The plan involves more than 17.000 traffic men supported by 2,400 vehicles based on three systems including Public Transport, Shuttle Transport and Al-Masha'er Train.
Assistant Commander of Hajj Security Forces for Traffic Affairs Major General Suleiman Al-Ajlan said that this year's Hajj season will witness the application of the third phase of the shuttle transport, including the Iranian pilgrims who will be transported by 1200 buses, and the non-Arab African pilgrims, who will be transported by 1750 buses, noting that the plan prohibits the use of vehicles with a capacity of less than 25 passengers.
Al-Mashaer train transported more than 270.000 pilgrims to Mount Arafat today, achieving its objectives and operational plans in this year's Hajj 1432 H after the completion of its full capacity.
